MusiCares is honoring Parton for her “significant creative accomplishments and longtime support of many charitable causes.” The gala, which will take place two nights before the 61st Grammy Awards, will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on February 10, 2019.

Previously-announced artists set to perform include Leon Bridges, Lauren Daigle, Vince Gill, Norah Jones, Shawn Mendes, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, P!nk, Chris Stapleton, Mavis Staples, Mark Ronson, and Don Henley.  Additionally Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood have just been confirmed as additional performers, with more guests to be announced soon. Parton will also take the stage to close the show.

Parton is the first country artist to receive an award from MusiCares. She is being recognized for her work with the Dollywood Foundation, which has provided more than 100 million books to children all over the world. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Recording Academy’s MusiCares charity; MusiCares has provided more than $6.5 million to 8,600 people within the music industry.
